books like this one and we realize the spectrum is wide & huge and our stupid ‘framework’ for ‘judging’ books or art or whatev seem ‘contrived’ when we compare something like a ‘90’ or ‘100’ to like Borges or something, what is going on, this is an impossible task, when authors create #QS at such a rapid rate, and then you get these short story collections, and then you get dense Cloud-Atlas-novels, taking on ‘big things’ and we’re just writing about the iNternet,

how are we

b/c yes, that is ‘big’ too and is continuing to be ‘big’ and everything is in ‘intimate’ personal relationships, and gchats w/ funny internet-meme-creators. none of this should be ‘put down’ our culture is vast, and that’s what makes it exciting, the niches & cultures & the places & we’re all here together in this alt-ernative form of lit-erature. so EE stands here, before us and part of us, this whole internet/way of life thing, a generational span of only a few years, but possibly lightyears in understanding, truly shaping and molding what the internet does and what this tech does, there is a difference of between ‘being’ born into something and ‘experiencing’ something, the innateness matters, it does, so be it.

how is anyone

idk seems like you don’t know where ‘i’ fit or what is ‘really’ going on, anymore than the rest of us do, and if you haven’t learned already, none of us really do, but these stories, idk if they ‘ARE’ “”“”ALT LIT”“”” or not, sometimes i care, sometimes i don’t, b/c if we just name and claim it, then there’s no difference, but i think EE has that way of looking at the world, that sly off-putting way that all ALT_LIT needs to have, even if it doesn’t realize, that sense of abandonment, and lack of place, those floating relationships of seismic shifting proportions. real trill in this book, of abusers and stepfathers, and pizza hut trips with little sense (‘winter haven…’). do the stories connect do they stand alone let’s just print them out and make a jigsaw pzzl that you can hang on yr wall

supposed to compare 

EE stalks (‘how i stopped loving dave eggers…’) and drowns (‘drown you’) and moves around (‘how the homeless…’), hwo much of this is true, what is false, OPP never asked these Q’s, which is the reason i tuned in.
